ac·tor

I received my MFA in acting as I wanted to be fully trained in what I feel is the core component of the theatrical experience - the actor/audience relationship. Although my career has developed along many paths (director, teacher, administrator), it is my hope - a hope that has thus far proved true - that acting will always remain as part of my artist’s palette.

As an actor, I enjoy immersing myself in the text to come up with bold and creative choices that go beyond preconceptions of characters. Because I am also a director, I am always willing to try anything that is asked of me (“do onto others as you would have them do onto you”). I always try to pour of much as myself as I can into each role. The greatest feeling of satisfaction an actor can have is to know that you have been fully used up, that you have left everything you have out on the stage floor in hopes that the audience will be moved and find value in what you share with them.
