As a teaching artist, it is my full-hearted belief that theatre education is never just about teaching how to scan a line of verse or analyze a scene - it is about helping the student progress as a human being. Education is really at the core of my artistic being. When I direct a play or teach a class, my goal is the same - I want the audience to learn something that they can take with them and use in the world outside the theatre.

I have particular interests in playwriting/developmental dramaturgy, theatre criticism, and community engagement. As far as techniques go, my actor training was based in Meisner and Practical Aesthetics. I also am well-versed in Shakespeare. I enjoy working with advanced students to help them further their craft, but I also find tremendous satisfaction in working with beginners and in using education as a tool to increase the engagement level of an audience with a production.

Enjoy perusing my portfolio of education work samples as well as testimonials from teachers, supervisors, and students.
